German Deutz Company and Jie Fang Motor Company Jointly Invested an Engine Plant in Dalian
As reported by a German Media, recently German Deutz Company signed an agreement with FAW Jie Fang Automobile Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary of China FAW Group, to establish a joint venture in Dalian to produce and sell diesel engine. The name of this joint venture is Deutz Dalian Engine Co., Ltd. Each party holds 50% shares. Deutz invested about EUR60m and Jie Fang Automobile Company mainly input the modern workshops. The joint venture will focus on producing heavy-duty automobile and construction equipment engine for industry purpose. The official launch is estimated in 2007 with initial production capacity around 50,000 unit/year and 100,000 unit/year after mass production, mainly providing engine to Asian clients of Deutz Company and FAW Group. Prior to this Deutz Company had over 10 years cooperation with China FAW Group.
