CSCEC Secures Large-scale Road & Bridge Contracting Project in Vietnam
China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) signed with Vietnam’s Ministry of Communication and Transportation in the morning of January 8 a contract for the reconstruction project of Segment 2A of the 3rd Section of Vietnam’s No.1 National Highway. The contract volume is USD35.75 million, and the construction period is 24 months.Japan’s International Bank provides favorable loans for the project, which covers the section of No.1 National Highway along Can Tho to Ca Mau in the south of Vietnam, and includes nine new bridges and a highway of 11 kilometers. This is the first international construction contract won by a Chinese company in Vietnam in 2007.
