As reported by Japanese economic news on Jan. 19th, Japanese Nitto Denko, the world biggest polarizing film producer will invest approx JPY20b (USD165m) in China to build up a new plant for LCD film production. This plant will settle down in Shenzhen and is estimated to start operation in October. It was reported that previously Nitto Denko outsourced the polarizing film production but the new plant will take over the output of the outsourcing for improving efficiency. It's also reported that the preliminary investment from Nitto Denko was around JPY6b and another JPY14b is planned for future investment. The company expects the plant to create about JPY25b profits after two to three years.
