Israel’s ZIM has signed joint venture agreement in China

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Co., Ltd. and China Railway Container Transportation Corporation under China’s Ministry of Railway have recently signed a joint venture agreement to establish China Railway United International Container Co., Ltd. The joint venture will invest US$ 2 billion in China in the next few years to build large railway hub container central stations in 18 selected cities in two phases. The 11 cities of Phase 1 include Shanghai, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Harbin, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Dalian, Tianjin and Qingdao. Cities of the second phase include Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Urumqi, Beijing and Ningbo.
