Five Benefits After Accession to the WTO for Five Years

Journalist has known from the opening of the 21 Century Forum 2006 Conference that five years after China’s accession to the WTO, her economy has witnessed sustaining and rapid growth, and Yi Xiaozhun, vice minister of the MOFCOM, said: “This five year is the best period of Chinese economic development” because of the adoption of more free and open trade system.
It has been five years since Dec.11th, 2001, the first day of China’s accession to the WTO and the MOFCOM has released a series of data, which shows five benefits brought about by China’s accession to the WTO.
First, sustaining and rapid economic growth.
Second, rapid development of two-way investment.
Third, popular increase of residents’ income.
Fourth, more familiar with international rules.
Fifth, promotion of the development of domestic industry.
