BMW experienced tremendous sales growth of 51.3% in China in 2006

Per the report of financial and economic news websites of Germany, BMW Group announced last Friday latest statistics of its car sales in China. BMW Group's annual sales in China was 36,357 cars, posting an increase of 51.3%; sales of its core brand BMW and branch brand Mini respectively reached 35,300 and 1057 cars, growing 49.6% and 145.8%. The most popular models were BMW 5 Series and 3 Series.
It is also reported that in 2006 the German car maker totally sold 44,710 cars in the Greater China area (including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau), increasing 35.4% and accounting for 3.26% of BMW’s annual sales of 1.37 million cars.
