DaimlerChrysler Cooperates with Hyundai Automobile to Build A Plant in China

As reported by Chosunilbo of the South Korea, Dieter Zetsche, the board chairman of DaimlerChrysler Group revealed during the interview in American Detroit Auto Show that they were under discussion with Hyundai Automobile on the plan of establishing a "world engine" production plant in China. He also indicated that, in order to increase the price competitiveness DaimlerChrysler had decided to sell small cars produced by Chinese Chery to the global market from 2008 to make a high quality vehicle in China with Chrysle's technology and brand and recognized by developed countries.
DaimlerChrysler, the world fifth automobile company, was the combination of German Daimler Benz and American Chrysler in 1998.
