Multinational companies including Microsoft settle in Guangzhou High & New Technology Zone

Some internationally famous companies including Microsoft, Intel and IBM have recently officially settled in Guangzhou High & New Technology Zone, together with some domestic high-tech enterprises and national high-tech projects. Foreign and domestic high-tech projects will later compete here on the same stage.
At the signing ceremony for important scientific and technological innovative projects in Guangzhou High & New Technology Zone held recently, Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Liangyu Investment Co., Ltd. Microsoft will set up Microsoft (China) Industrial Base in Guangzhou High & New Zone, which includes Microsoft South China Technical Support Center, Advanced Software Training Center, South China Business Operation Center and Software Outsourcing Industrial Base. Total investment of the project is estimated at USD150 to 180 million.
Intel, in cooperation with Emerson and Hong Kong Bloombase Investment Co., will set up in the Science City of Guangzhou High & New Technology Zone “Guangzhou International Safety Data Solutions Center”. This center will serve as Intel’s South China Technical Support Center and its Global Service Outsourcing Testing Center. Total investment of the project is about USD180 million.
