Shenyang's first foreign invested gas station starts operation

Shenyang's first foreign-invested gas station has officially started operation recently. In 2005, Total of France, the world's No.1 petroleum company, signed an agreement with China's Sinochem Corporation to jointly establish Sinochem Total Co. to enter China's oil products retail market. The plan was to set up 200 fuel stations in places including Liaoning province. The foreign invested gas station that just started business is the first one in Shenyang, which is near Shenyang Thermal Power Plant. It used to be a private gas station, and was chosen and acquired by Sinochem Total Co. last year. At the moment Sinochem Total Co. is selecting locations in Shenyang and is targeting many private gas stations for acquisition or reorganization.
