Beihai city of Guangxi province created new record in utilizing foreign capital in 2006

In 2006 Beihai city of Guangxi Province achieved outstanding performance in utilizing foreign capital and reached record high since 1997 in three indicators including the amount of actual utilization of foreign capital, contractual amount of total investment and contractual amount of foreign investment. According to the statistics, in 2006 Beihai city approved 28 foreign invested enterprises with a total investment amount of 427.17 million US dollars, increasing 196.71% year-on-year. Contractual amount of foreign investment reached 231.40 million US dollars, increasing 147.7% year-on-year, and actual utilization of foreign capital recorded a 139.76% growth to reach 57.23 million US dollars, accomplishing 199.57% of the annual target of 28.65 million US dollars.
