Shell intends to open 5 foreign-invested gas stations in Chongqing within 2 years

The investment in Chongqing by the Fortune 500 Shell of many concerns has finally finalized. On December 21, 2006 a joint venture jointly established by Shell and Chongqing’s private company Doyen Group was officially registered in the city's administration of industry & commerce. The new company was named "Doyen Shell Petrochemical Co.Ltd".
Shell plans to open 1000 gas stations in China within 5 years, and the entry to Chongqing is part of the plan. It is said that after the establishment of the joint venture in Chongqing, Shell will reorganize the original gas stations with its own brand, and will open over five gas stations within two years. There will be drive-in restaurants in the gas stations to sell food.
